  3. He was probably looking for the watch his grandfather had lost. So, he was probably shaking the tree to see if it was up there or to get somebody's attention that woyls help.

  4. Interesting ideas. Do you think the watch would have been able to stay in the tree for over 100 years? We will have to look at these predictions again as the story goes on to see if they stay the same or need to change as we get more information.
