    his grandfathers watch. Maybe it was in the leaves or his grandfather dided there and it was still there maybe you will never ever know with this book it has alot of surprises number 6

    He was probably looking for the watch his grandfather had lost. So, he was probably shaking the tree to see if it was up there or to get somebody's attention that woyls help.

    Interesting ideas. Do you think the watch would have been able to stay in the tree for over 100 years? We will have to look at these predictions again as the story goes on to see if they stay the same or need to change as we get more information.

    I think that the Yankess might have seen Hugh put his grandfather gold watch in the crack of rocks and might have went go get it to keep or sell it for money now I think that Hugh is coming back to haunt whoever killed him and took his grandfather gold watch.NelsonWittfle.32

    In this chapter Benjy learns that Hugh is a confederate solder and that HUgh lost a watch. And he learns about the yankees.
