Chapter 10: Family Portraits
We learned a lot of background information about both the children, Benjy's father, Miss Leota, and their ancestors. What do you think was the most suprising piece of information and how do you think it changes the relationship? If you can, use information from the text to help you answer.

I think his grandfather impressed me the most. I would have never thought Ben's ancestor would ever be a part of history. Now, he could learn a lot more about the War Between the States. Also, if he ever had a reprt on his ancestor, it would be easy! Hello!!!(sarcasm) #27

ReplyDeleteI think that Benjy finding out that he was named after hs great-great grandfather was a good thing. I know this sounds a little weird, but that just might make Benjy feel like he's truley related to her!!!

I think it really helped bengy gain alot of confidience.Because he used to be kind of like a nerd at school. but now he turns out to be named after someone in the civil war. number#4

ReplyDeleteI agree with all of your answers. I think that it was very interesting that one (and probably more than one) of his ancestors was in the War Between the States. I also found it intersting that he found out who his namesake was. That made his name very important to Benjy.
