Chapter 9: The Search

Benjy is becoming quite a good friend to Hugh, as you can see from this chapter. Do you think that he will be able to go back to his hometown and use these skills to make more friends now that he has more confidence, or do you think he will revert back to his old ways of being shy and unsure of himself?

    Yes because once you make friends you gain confindence. Like when started coming here in kindergarten, I was shy. Went I met some firends, I gained confidence. Now, I have a bunch of friends, and now I am in the 5th grade!!!!

    Benjy always used to be quiet. Now that he has met Hugh he is becoming a good friend. So I think that he will gain his confidence.#25

    benjy has some how finally made a friend his friends name is hugh he is a sixteen year old boy who is acultly a ghost who died in the civial war.so benjy sneeks out of his grandmothers house so that he can meet hugh and help him look for his watch witch used to be his grand fathers watch.so he used so kind of thing that has bob wire on it but i forgot the name of it but the problem is that benjy cant,use it becuase the ground is so strong and every thing looks so diffrent.

    I think that if someone needs help with something he'll try to help them as much as he can. Then he could say something like,"We would make great friends". This could be a great friend starter for Benjy!!!

    yes he will make more friends, and once you can get a friend that you can build confidence that you can make tons of friends

    Im positive he'll make a friend or more in his hometown.Normally people are shy and a bit scared but as they mature they gain more confidence which helps them get more friends cause thier not scared.

    Good posts! I think that you are all right. I, too, believe that he will be more confident to make friends. He has learned how to be a good friend and he also knows that it is hard work. I think things will change when he goes back to his hometown!

    Benjy will go back home just as confident as he is there. If you can make friends with a ghost you can be friends with anybody! #14
